I'm excited to announce that I've been accepted into the 2024 CVS Health Finance Externship! This fall, I'll be immersing myself in corporate finance and accounting at a Fortune 10 company. 🌟During this 9-session virtual program, I'll be honing my analytical skills with Excel training, refining my PowerPoint abilities, and crafting a mock budgeting presentation for business leaders. Additionally, I'll have the privilege of being mentored by seasoned CVS Health professionals and enhancing my communication prowess.I eagerly anticipate this enriching experience and the opportunity to thrive in a collaborative setting that reflects CVS Health's commitment to infusing compassion into every aspect of healthcare. ❤️Grateful to CVS Health for this incredible opportunity! I'm eager to kick off this journey and embrace the growth it promises.

Our employee spotlight is shining! Robert Mowery, Senior Financial Analyst at GLIN IPA, provided the following insights into his life, in and out of the office. What does your job entail? As one of our Senior Financial Analysts, my primary responsibility is business intelligence to help leadership make informed decisions. I also oversee the majority of our reporting, claims maintenance, and payments through the ACO Realizing Equity, Access, and Community Health (ACO REACH) model with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). I have a background in both analytics and healthcare operations, so I work on a mixture of developing trackers and incentive payment models for performance. How have you grown professionally while working at GLIN IPA?I have had the luck of being surrounded by a fantastic team and leaders that that have taught me a lot in terms of reporting efficiency. I have become much stronger at data manipulation and report automation, so tasks that were once very time consuming are not so manual. Tell me something about you that most people don’t know.I originally wanted to be a Marine Biologist. I love the ocean and feel very at-home every chance I get to be around it. Diving with whale sharks is among the top things to-do on my near-term bucket list. What is your favorite place to eat in Buffalo?Nowadays, Bratts Hill has fantastic Jamaican food that I am a big fan of and puts me back in the Caribbean when I am there. What is the best advice you can give to someone who just started his or her career?Study human behavior and how to influence people. Nobody is self-made. I have been homeless, taken unpaid internships, and put in my share of hard-work, but I am most grateful for the mentors in business who selflessly got me started. I also believe that most technical skills can be learned on the job, so being a good motivator, negotiator, speaker, etc. will help get your foot in the door before you’ve built up your contacts.

Another potential route into financial planning through the Attivo academy. Correct me if I’m wrong Bobby Sahota but my understanding is that Attivo offer employed trainee advisor positions which is brilliant! 👍😊👏👏👏#traineefinancialplanner #employed #academy

↗️ 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁-𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 software solutions for SMEs and scale-ups: precise 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 for 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴-𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲

Are you the new apprentice?I was asked this question when I went to an appointment at a bank for my first major software project. The receptionist greeted me in a friendly manner and asked me exactly this question.I answered in amazement: "I have an appointment with Mr Bolte to discuss the new project and get to know the people on the team personally."In retrospect, I can't blame the receptionist. People always think I'm a bit younger (probably due to my sport and good diet). See photo 📸And I was only 23 at the time, most people are in the middle of their studies or starting their first job. Very few quit their job at age 23 and start their own business. So I can more than understand her question 😁 💡 𝗠𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: even at a young age, much more is possible than most people think. And that's exactly what brought me some advantages. Have you had similar experiences? If so, feel free to write them in the comments.#business #youngprofessionals #throwbackthursday #softwareengineer
