To provide an avenue for communication, education,
and networking for all Central Ohio veterinarians;
to organize continuing education opportunities for
members and their staff; to raise awareness of public
health concerns and crisis management.
Welcome to Columbus Academy of
Veterinary Medicine.
The Columbus Academy of Veterinary Medicine was established in 1958 as a local association of Central Ohio Veterinarians. Its members reflect all aspects of veterinary medicine from small and large animal veterinary practices to academics and research. All the members share the common goal of creating an organization to promote veterinary medicine and safeguard its interests on a local level. The Academy is a vital source of continuing education hours offered at no charge to its membership. It is an important link between the veterinary community and the public it serves. Just a few of the programs the Columbus Academy is involved in are:
A nationally recognized Pet Loss Support Group (more info)
A county wide program for low cost rabies clinics held 4 times per year
